WILL ROEGGE + COMPANY SELECTED A WINNER IN THE 36th ANNUAL TELLY AWARDS
Los Angeles, California June 11, 2015 The Telly Awards has named Will Roegge + Company’s the winner of two Silver awards in the 35th Annual Telly Awards for their pieces titled BBI: A New Mountain to Climb and The Porsche from the Winter of 53. With nearly 12,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, this is truly an honor.
For Betim Berisha, years of hard work and determination paid off when he was able to start his own shop – BBI Autosport. In 2014 BBI Autosport took on the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with driver Jeff Zwart. The film documents BBI’s 2014 effort at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with seven time PPIHC Champion Jeff Zwart. Zwart approached BBI Autosport to build his dream Porsche for the hill climb.
The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 and is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.
A prestigious judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work – entries do not compete against each other – rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Less than 10% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Silver Telly, our highest honor. Approximately 25% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Bronze Telly.
The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. “Will Roegge + Company’s accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.
“We couldn’t be more happy to win two Telly Awards this year! BBI: A New Mountain Climb is a great story and to have it win in the “documentary category” validates it. We want to thank BBI Autosport and Betim Berisha for giving us the opportunity to tell their story. The second award is in the Online Video Automotive category for “The Porsche from the Winter of 53” – which is a honor considering that the project was created by two people over the course of two days with limited resources. Thanks to Jeff Zwart for the opportunity and for always supporting us.”
