A Day with Will – Risky Devil

RISKY_DEVIL-6 copy

Being on the Nation of GO tour has not left much free time for socializing. On an average day we are covering a few hundred miles, shooting multiple locations, and then doing post work at the hotel. The last third of the tour takes the van through the midwest. Which feels mighty homely. Its nice to be back where people are friendly and there is plenty of greenery.

When we rolled into Chicago, I called a few friends including Tim Tulov aka T2 Films. Tim has put Chi city’s Risky Devil crew on video and shown the world what’s up. Risky Devil has an ill selection of cars in their cabinet. Lexus SC, Mazda FC RX7, Toyota Supra, s13, s14, LS equipped s14, AE86, and a nasty time attack street destroyer EVO. Photos of said cars have gotten lots of play from forums and blog sites like motor-bro-hunters-mavens tv.

Why?

Because they are doing it. They are legit. Street cars with mad steez. Risky Devil backs it up! I called T2 at 8pm, met up at 10pm, had a crew assembled by midnight and was hitting a spot before 1am. Pretty sick for a few hours notice. Everyone was super chill and ready to drive – whether they had a 5 page paper or work in a few hours. They were down.

Here are a few snaps I took, when I wasn’t shooting video. I experimented with some filmic treatment.

Out front of Columbia University. Chicago is a rooted city. To me, its grounded while still being a big city. It has heart.
