A Day with Will – Mitsubishi Outlander

Jesse Lee of Kinod Photography aka former Miata hard parkers… in a stand-off with our Mitsubishi Outlander.

Thanks to Mitsubishi, Linhbergh, Jesse, and I had a smooth Outlander to cruise up to Sonoma for Formula Drift this weekend. Anything without coilovers is an improvement for a long drive over my S14 240sx. The Outlander was loaded with heated leather seats, 6 speed transmission, Navigation, and premium sound package. All of which takes the sting out of a 6 hour drive. The Outlander also had plenty of storage space for photo/video gear. Which we had plenty. Plus with two 12v plugs- enough power outlets to run all of our Mac Book Pro’s and recharge batteries on the go. I was actually impressed with the Mitsubishi head unit and navigation. It was touch screen based and easy to use. Not like the Nissan factory installed units which are annoying and difficult to input addresses.

This dusty dirt road was a great location to shoot the Outlander just as the sun was setting. The Outlander’s front fascia shares the “mako” shark inspired nose of the Lancer. Aggressive headlight eyes. Didn’t get to try out the 3rd Row seats, but enjoyed the comfortable interior. The exterior design doesn’t quite fit my personality or style- maybe later in life. I don’t think mid-twenties male is the demographic for the Outlander either.

Self-Timer Self Portrait. Reminds me of the “Run Forrest, Run!” shot in Forrest Gump. There is something cool to me about kicking up a trail of dust in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks again to Mitsubishi. The Outlander saved out butts. Was a smooth ride and made us appreciate XM radio.

Linhbergh - Epic photos dude. I need to get that camera...!
