Bittersweet

bittersweet-7

It started on the phone. “What are you doing next weekend?”

Last weekend I decided to fly to Chicago and meet up with the Midwest surf crew to go ride in Michigan. Using some of the United Frequent Flyer miles I’ve accumulated over the past couple of years- it was no problem. I even threw the idea out to Burga’time and figured Michigan is a great place to learn how to snowboard. She was down. It also happened that Nate would be flying back to Chicago on Friday night and could meet us at the airport.

Timing is everything. bittersweet-8

The best thing about coming back to winter from winter-less Southern California is how different it feels. It makes me feel like a kid. When you are stuck in the winter in Ohio though its not as exciting.

Then it was back to the airport. This is pretty much how everything looked to me this weekend. Like a blurred long exposure.

This weekend goes down in the books for awesomeness. You can tell you were busy enjoying the people you were with and the things you were doing- when you forget to take photos or shoot video segments for your upcoming Midwest Surfers III DVD. oh well. thanks to everyone who made this weekend amazing.
